What is a WordPress Website?
At its core, WordPress is a Content Management System (C.M.S) used to create websites. On a more technical level, WordPress is an open-source content management system licensed under GPLv2, which means that anyone can use or modify the WordPress software for free. There is no monthly cost to use WordPress, but you do need to pay for hosting. We can help with that, either by recommending a hosting provider or hosting your site for you.
What is a Content Management System?
A Content Management System is a tool that makes it easier to manage the content of your website without needing to code. It is a database of posts and pages, which site owners can log into and create or remove content
Why do I need help to build a WordPress website?
The simple answer is that you don’t! You can build your own without using any code. However, this will take you time – time to learn how best to use WordPress, and time to design and set up your page templates. However, every second of your time is precious, and what would be the best use of it? To concentrate on your own products and customers to build your business, or to spend that same time trying to build your site?
Will I need a Graphic Designer to create a design for my website?
Our preferred workflow is to take an approved visual design and build that into a fully functional WordPress Website. We will create this site on our staging servers, far from the prying eyes and once you are completely satisfied we will launch your site for you. If you don’t have a designer, we can put you in touch with our favorite designers. However, if you don’t have the budget for this, we can design it for you.

How do I get started with a new WordPress Website?

Do I really need a brand-new website, or is a new theme enough?
A new theme is usually enough if your current site is slow only because of old design, poor mobile experience, or outdated looks. You need a completely new site if you want major functionality changes (e.g., adding membership, e-commerce, booking system) that your current setup can’t handle easily.
How do I know if my current website is “too old” to save?
Red flags: built before 2018, not mobile-friendly, uses the old classic editor with dozens of page builders layered on top, loads slower than 4–5 seconds, or is still running PHP 7.2 or lower.
Should I stick with WordPress or switch to something else (Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, etc.)?
Stay with WordPress if you want full control, thousands of plugins, and no platform lock-in. Switch if you hate updates, want everything managed for you, or run a simple brochure-style site or small store with no custom features.
Can I keep my current domain name if I build a completely new site?
Yes, 100%. Your domain is separate from your website files. Just point the domain to the new hosting/server when you’re ready to launch.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I make a new website?
Not if you do it properly: keep the same URLs when possible, set up 301 redirects for changed pages, keep or improve content quality, and don’t launch with broken links or slow speed.

What’s the difference between the $500 and $800 packages?
The $800 package gives you up to 10 pages + extras like testimonial slider, portfolio/gallery, popup/opt-in form, extra custom sections, and one round of revisions after the first draft.
Is the $1,000 e-commerce package a full online store?
Yes — WooCommerce installed and configured, up to 20 products added for you, payment gateways (PayPal + Stripe), shipping zones, legal pages (privacy, terms, returns), and abandoned-cart email ready.
Will I own the website 100%? Are there any hidden monthly fees from you?
Yes, you own everything. No monthly fees from me ever. You only pay for hosting/domain (We can host for you too, but will happily move the new website to wherever you want to host it).
