Whilst trying to figure out why a client Google Analytics stopped tracking, we happened across this little issue that seems to surface in the lasted Chrome update – Version 83.0.4103.97
Google Analytics stopped sending hits -and burrowing down through the Google analytics debugger information in the console window – the message appeared
Storage not available. Aborting hit.
A search of Google suggested that the domain was an issue, and when we checked the domain being used in WooCommerce Google Analytics Plugin settings – the domain had the https:// included. We removed that so just the basic domain. This solved the problem, and google analytics was able to record the hits from site visits again
